1. What We Collect

When you use Chinho, we collect the following information:

• Account information — your email address, display name, and university affiliation.
• Payment information — your bKash or Nagad mobile number for payouts.
• Annotation data — your preference choices, justifications, and quality scores.
• Voice recordings — if you participate in voice collection tasks, we store your audio recordings along with metadata (dialect, duration).

2. How We Use Your Data

• To operate the annotation platform and process your tasks.
• To calculate your quality score and earnings.
• To process payout requests to your mobile money account.
• To build Bangla NLP datasets. Your annotations and voice recordings become part of datasets owned and licensed by ELITE Research Lab.

3. Datasets and Ownership

Annotation data and voice recordings are used to create datasets owned by ELITE Research Lab, which may be licensed to research and commercial partners. Datasets are anonymized — your email and payment details are never included. You are paid for each task at the rate shown before you start it; the datasets themselves remain the property of the lab.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). Voice recordings are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS) and row-level security on all database tables.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may license anonymized annotation data to research and commercial partners. Payment information is only shared with mobile money providers to process your payouts.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Note that deleting your account does not remove anonymized annotations already included in datasets we have delivered.
